Radża

Radża, radźa (hindi rājā, sanskryt राज rājan – „król”[1], ang. raja[2] lub rajah[3]) – historyczny tytuł władcy państwa na subkontynencie indyjskim i w Azji Południowo-Wschodniej[4], odpowiednik księcia lub króla. Miał władzę sądowniczą i był zwierzchnikiem wojsk; żonie radży przysługiwał tytuł rani.[4] Ponadto posługiwano się tym tytułem w Imperium Brytyjskim zwracając się do niższych rangą dygnitarzy i możnowładców, stawiając go przed nazwiskiem.[2][3] Niższy rangą od maharadży.
