Robert Ian Frost (ur. 20 czerwca 1958 w Edynburgu) – brytyjski historyk. Profesor University of Aberdeen[1]. Specjalizuje się w dziejach północnej i wschodniej Europy od XIV do XIX wieku, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem historii Rzeczypospolitej Obojga Narodów oraz historii wojskowości[2].

Życiorys

Dorastał w Edynburgu[1]. Studiował na Uniwersytecie w St Andrews (MA w 1980) i Uniwersytecie Jagiellońskim[1]. Doktorat uzyskał na UCL School of Slavonic and East European Studies pod kierunkiem Normana Daviesa[1].

Od 1987 roku pracował na King’s College w Londynie[1]. W latach 2004–2009 kierował na Uniwersytecie Aberdeen wydziałem Early Modern History[1].

W 2024 otrzymał tytuł doktora honoris causa Uniwersytetu w Białymstoku[3].
