Ronelle Alexander – amerykańska językoznawczyni. Zajmuje się językoznawstwem bałkanistycznym, dialektologią i folklorem bałkańskim, problematyką języka i przynależności etnicznej na Bałkanach oraz kontaktami językowymi[1].

Życiorys

Doktorat z zakresu slawistyki uzyskała na Uniwersytecie Harvarda[1]. W 1987 r. objęła stanowisko profesora na Uniwersytecie Kalifornijskim w Berkeley[2]. Wykładała także na Uniwersytecie Kalifornijskim w Los Angeles, Uniwersytecie Yale oraz Uniwersytecie Karoliny Północnej w Chapel Hill[2].

Współzałożycielka Society of Living Traditions (SLT)[2]. Współautorka podręcznika do nauki języka serbsko-chorwackiego[3].
