Shaogomphus – rodzaj ważek z rodziny gadziogłówkowatych (Gomphidae)[1].
Rozmieszczenie geograficzne
Do rodzaju należą gatunki występujące we wschodniej Azji – we wschodnich i północno-wschodnich Chinach, Korei Północnej i Południowej, Japonii oraz w południowo-wschodniej części Rosyjskiego Dalekiego Wschodu[4].
Systematyka
Rodzaj Shaogomphus wprowadził w 1984 roku chiński entomolog Chao Hsiu-fu dla nowo opisanego przez siebie gatunku Shaogomphus lieftincki[1][2]. Autor umieścił ten rodzaj w nowo zdefiniowanej podrodzinie Onychogomphinae[2], ale Steinmann (1997) zaliczył go do Gomphinae[3]. Obecnie do rodzaju zaliczane są trzy gatunki[1].
Etymologia
Shaogomphus: „Shao” – skrócona forma nazwy gminy Shaowu w prowincji Fujian, w której pozyskano okazy typowe gatunku typowego; rodzaj Gomphus, którego nazwa często wykorzystywana jest jako człon nazw rodzajowych w rodzinie gadziogłówkowatych[1].
