Silnik soniczny

Silnik soniczny (s. ultrasoniczny; ang. sonic (ultrasonic) motor) – rodzaj silnika elektrycznego zamieniającego energię fal lub drgań akustycznych (mechanicznych) w ciele stałym na makroskopową pracę mechaniczną. Do konstrukcji silników sonicznych wykorzystuje się najczęściej akustyczne fale powierzchniowe oraz drgania elementów piezoelektrycznych (np. bimorfów).
