Singhala |
Singhala – rodzaj chrząszczy z rodziny poświętnikowatych, podrodziny rutelowatych i plemienia Anomalini.
Rodzaj ten wprowadzony został przez Karla Hermanna K. Burmeistera[1]. Gilbert John Arrow umieścił w pracy z 1917 roku należące doń gatunki w sekcji I rodzaju Anomala[2].
Chrząszcze z tego rodzaju mają śródpiersie pozbawione wyrostka międzybiodrowego, kąty przednie nadustka samców ostre, pokrywy samic kanciasto rozszerzone, a golenie przednich odnóży dwuzębne. Innymi cechami są jednolicie zaokrąglona nasada przedplecza, bardzo krótkie pokrywy i tęgo przytępiony odwłok[2].
Rodzaj endemiczny dla subkontynentu indyjskiego. Dwa gatunki są endemitami Sri Lanki, trzy zaś Indii[3].
Należy tu pięć opisanych gatunków[3]:

- Singhala hindu Heller, 1891
- Singhala polymorpha (Arrow, 1911)
- Singhala robusta (Arrow, 1917)
- Singhala tenella Blanchard, 1851
