„Small Talk” – utwór amerykańskiej piosenkarki i autorki tekstów Katy Perry wydany 9 sierpnia 2019 roku nakładem wytwórni Capitol Records[2]. Informacje na temat nagrania, którego współautorem tekstu jest amerykański piosenkarz Charlie Puth[3][4][5] zostały ujawnione trzy dni wcześniej[6].

Geneza

W lipcu br. podczas transmisji na żywo na swoim oficjalnym profilu w serwisie Instagram Puth zdradził parę szczegółów dotyczących singla[7]. Na tym samym portalu we wtorek, 6 sierpnia 2019 roku Perry opublikowała kilkanaście zdjęć ukazujących urywki z pochodzącego do niego tekstu[8].

Teledysk

Wraz z premierą singla ukazał się film z napisami utworu wyreżyserowany przez Tima Foxa[9]. Tydzień później ukazał się pionowy teledysk dostępny dla użytkowników Spotify'a[10]. Oficjalny teledysk piosenki ukazał się 30 sierpnia i przedstawia konkurs psich piękności. Teledysk był wyreżyserowany przez Tanu Muino[11].
