Soreczek[2] (Diplomesodon) – rodzaj ssaków z podrodziny zębiełków (Crocidurinae) w obrębie rodziny ryjówkowatych (Soricidae).
Rozmieszczenie geograficzne
Rodzaj obejmuje jeden współcześnie żyjący gatunek występujący w Azji[3][4][5].
Morfologia
Długość ciała (bez ogona) 59–143 mm, długość ogona 25–33 mm; masa ciała 6–12 g[4][6][7].
Systematyka
Rodzaj (w randze podrodzaju w obrębie Sorex) zdefiniował w 1852 roku niemiecki przyrodnik Johann Friedrich von Brandt w artykule zatytułowanym Dodatek zoologiczny, opublikowanym na łamach „Beitraege zur Kenntnis des Russischen Reiches”[1]. Gatunkiem typowym jest (oznaczenie monotypowe) soreczek łaciaty (D. pulchellus).
Etymologia
Diplomesodon: διπλος diplos ‘podwójny’; μεσος mesos ‘środkowy’; οδους odous, οδοντος odontos ‘ząb’[8].
Podział systematyczny
Do rodzaju należą następujące gatunek[9][6][3][2]:
| Grafika | Gatunek | Autor i rok opisu | Nazwa zwyczajowa[2] | Podgatunki[4][3][6] | Rozmieszczenie geograficzne[4][3][6] | Podstawowe wymiary[4][6][a] | Status IUCN[10] |

Opisano również gatunek wymarły z plejstocenu dzisiejszej Południowej Afryki[13]:
Uwagi
- ↑ DC – długość ciała (bez ogona); DO – długość ogona; MC – masa ciała
- ↑ Takson opisany na podstawie XIX-wiecznego manuskryptu[11], lecz jego ważność jest niepewna i może stanowić młodszy synonim D. pulchellus[12] lub nomen dubium. Jednak w 2022 roku sfotografowano martwego osobnika który mógł należeć do gatunku opisanego przez Cheke’a[7]; jako że może również przypominać częściowo leucystycznego Suncus murinus i okaz nie został zebrany, do potwierdzenia pokrewieństwa taksonomicznego tego taksonu potrzebne są dane genetyczne i bardziej kompleksowe dane morfologiczne[12].
