Spindalis – rodzaj ptaków z podrodziny antyl (Spindalinae) w obrębie rodziny hispaniolczyków (Phaenicophilidae).
Rozmieszczenie geograficzne
Rodzaj obejmuje gatunki występujące na Bahamach, Kubie, Kajmanach, Cozumel, Haiti, Portoryko i Jamajce[2].
Morfologia
Długość ciała 15–18 cm, masa ciała 17–64,8 g[3].
Systematyka
Rodzaj Spindalis zdefiniowała w 1837 roku para brytyjskich ornitologów, Szkot William Jardine i Anglik Prideaux John Selby, w publikacji ich własnego autorstwa zatytułowanej Ilustracje ornitologiczne[1]. Gatunkiem typowym jest (oznaczenie monotypowe) antyla jamajska (S. nigricephala).
Spindalis: gr. σπινδαλος spindalos lub πινδαλος pindalos ‘nieznany indyjski ptak’, różnie identyfikowany, być może podobny do ατταγας attagas[4].
Podział systematyczny

- Spindalis dominicensis (H. Bryant, 1867) – antyla dominikańska
- Spindalis portoricensis (H. Bryant, 1866)– antyla portorykańska
