Stopowłos[2] (Belomys) – rodzaj ssaków z podrodziny wiewiórek (Sciurinae) w obrębie rodziny wiewiórkowatów (Sciuridae).

Rozmieszczenie geograficzne

Rodzaj obejmuje jeden żyjący współcześnie gatunek występujący w Azji[3][4][5].

Morfologia

Długość ciała (bez ogona) 189–214,5 mm, długość ogona 135,8–169,3 mm; masa ciała 156 g[4][6].

Systematyka

Rodzaj zdefiniował w 1908 roku angielski zoolog Oldfield Thomas w artykule zatytułowanym Rodzaje i podrodzaje z grupy Sciuropterus wraz z opisami trzech nowych gatunków, opublikowanym w czasopiśmie „The Annals and magazine of natural history[1]. Gatunkiem typowym jest (oryginalne oznaczenie) stopowłos górski (B. pearsonii).

Etymologia

Belomys: gr. βελος belos ‘strzała’[7]; μυς mus, μυος muos ‘mysz’[8].
