Rząd Taphrinales utworzył Ernst Haeckel w 1894 r.[2] Według aktualizowanej klasyfikacji Species Fungorum bazującej na Dictionary of the Fungi należą do niego[1]:

- rodzina Taphrinaceae Gäum. 1928 – szpetkowate
- rodzina Incertae sedis
