Systematyka
Autorzy pracy ustanawiającej rodzaj Trinisaura opisali jego miejsce na drzewie rodowy dinozaurów ptasiomiednicznych następującym kladogramem[1].

Rozmieszczenie geograficzne
Zwierzę zamieszkiwało tereny Antarktyki. Jego szczątki odnaleziono na wyspie Jamesa Rossa. Pochodziły one z kampanu, z formacji Snow Hill Island[1].
Ekologia
Tereny formacji Snow Hill Island nie należą do zasobnych w pozostałości dinozaurów. Odnaleziono tam wcześniej skamieliny ankylozaura Antarctopelta oliveroi. Poza tym nie stwierdzono tam obecności szczątków innych ptasiomiednicznych, pomimo szerokiego rozpowszechnienia ornitopodów w obrębie dzisiejszego basenu Rossa[1].
