TrueNAS (wcześniej FreeNAS[1]) jest serwerem NAS (Network-Attached Storage), opartym na projekcie m0n0wall. Posiada interfejs pozwalający na pełne zarządzanie przez sieć WWW. Rozwijany jest przez iXsystems Inc. Możemy podzielić go na wersję Enterprise[2] oraz Community Edition[3]. TrueNAS Enterprise jest sprzedawany jako produkt komercyjny z wsparciem technicznym dla przedsiębiorstw. TrueNAS Community Edition można zainstalować bezpłatnie na komputerach z architekturą x86-64.
TrueNAS Community Edition nie należy mylić z już nierozwijanym TrueNAS Core[4], bazującym na FreeBSD.
