Tukanobasis – rodzaj ważek z rodziny łątkowatych (Coenagrionidae)[2].
Rozmieszczenie geograficzne
Rodzaj obejmuje gatunki występujące w Amazonii na terenie Brazylii[1][3][4], Wenezueli i Peru[4].
Systematyka
Rodzaj Tukanobasis wprowadził w 2009 roku brazylijski entomolog Angelo B.M. Machado dla nowo opisanego przez siebie gatunku Tukanobasis corbeti[1]. Drugi gatunek z tego rodzaju opisał w 2023 roku Tim Faasen[4].
Etymologia
Tukanobasis: rodzaj został nazwany na cześć Indian Tukano, którzy pomogli autorowi podczas jego ekspedycji nad rzekę Uaupés w 1964 roku – w jej trakcie pozyskano okazy typowe T. corbeti[1].
