USA Sevens 2006 – trzecia edycja wchodzącego w skład IRB Sevens World Series turnieju USA Sevens przeznaczonego dla męskich reprezentacji narodowych w rugby 7. Odbyła się w dniach 11–12 lutego 2006 roku na Home Depot Center w Carson będąc czwartym turniejem sezonu 2005/2006.

Informacje ogólne

Rozegrane na Home Depot Center zawody były czwartym turniejem sezonu 2005/2006 IRB Sevens World Series i wzięło w nich udział szesnaście reprezentacji. Drużyny rywalizowały w pierwszym dniu systemem kołowym podzielone na cztery czterozespołowe grupy, po czym w drugim dniu osiem najlepszych awansowało do ćwierćfinałów, a pozostała ósemka zmierzyła się w walce o Bowl[1]. Po turnieju NAWIRA Sevens 2005 ogłoszono, że w zawodach wezmą udział Meksyk oraz wspólny zespół Indii Zachodnich[2], z Ameryki Południowej dołączył zaś Urugwaj[3]. Podział na grupy oraz rozkład gier zostały opublikowane w grudniu 2005 roku[4]. Składy zespołów[5]. Składy zespołów[6].

Faworytem zawodów była reprezentacja Fidżi ze wschodzącą gwiazdą tego sportu Williamem Ryderem[7]. Niespodzianką pierwszego dnia były zwycięstwa Urugwaju nad Szkocją oraz Kanady nad RPA, zaś indywidualnie wyróżniali się Danny Care, Luke Narraway, Mathew Tait, Jone Daunivucu, Cory Jane, Lote Raikabula, Nigel Hunt i Stefan Basson[8][9]. W turnieju triumfowali reprezentanci Anglii w fazie pucharowej zwyciężając wysoko z RPA i Fidżi[10][11][12].

Wejściówki dla osób poniżej czternastego roku życia kosztowały 10 USD, zaś najtańsze bilety normalne 35 USD[13].
