Wesley I. Sundquist (ur. 11 września 1959 w Saint Paul) – amerykański biochemik. Profesor Uniwersytetu Utah.

Uzyskał tytuł licencjata w Carleton College, a doktorat na Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Specjalizuje się w biologii molekularnej i strukturalnej retrowirusów, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem wirusa HIV. Podczas badań nad budową tej cząsteczki zidentyfikował kapsyd wirusa oraz wyjaśnił rolę jego i szlaku ESCRT w replikacji wirusa HIV, co ukształtowało podwaliny do stworzenia lenakapawiru - leku przeciwwirusowego stosowanego w leczeniu zespołu nabytego niedoboru odporności[1][2].

Wraz z czeskim wirusologiem z firmy Gilead Sciences Tomášem Cihlářem znalazł się na liście stu najbardziej wpływowych ludzi roku 2025 tygodnika Time[3]. W tym samym roku otrzymał Nagrodę Fundacji Warrena Alperta[4].
