WebWave is a website building software company founded in 2011, based in Warsaw, Poland. It provides software as a service (SaaS), enabling users to create, design and publish RWD websites with no coding experience. Creator includes pre-built-in CMS, layer management system, templates, special element groups. (menu, comment sections, galleries etc.) and white label accounts for web design agencies.
The company follows a freemium business model. Users can try builder for free and upgrade to a paid plan if they decide to do so. In addition to the web development tool and hosting, WebWave provides domains, email servers, SSL certificates, technical support and training on web development, marketing tools and SEO.
WebWave creator had its launch on November 19th 2013. WebWave’s team consists of 29 people and has over 368 000 users worldwide. There are over 500 000 websites made in WebWave.
Overview and Features
WebWave’s interface resembles popular graphic programs such as Photoshop or Gimp. It utilises a layer-based system to design a website. It is pixel-perfect, which means each element can be adjusted with 1-pixel accuracy. Users can decide whether they’d like to start a website from a blank page or alter a chosen template. Every website has a built-in CMS, which allows adding multiple editors on a different authorisation level.
