William Marsden (ur. 16 listopada 1754 w Verval, zm. 6 października 1836 w Aldenham[1]) – brytyjski uczony orientalista[2], historyk, lingwista i numizmatyk[1]; pionier badań naukowych nad Indonezją[1].
Upamiętniony został w nazwie rodzaju roślin Marsdenia z rodziny toinowatych[3].
