Agathis moorei adalah spesies pohon yang endemik di Kaledonia Baru. Pohon ini tersebar di seluruh pulau utama di hutan hujan subtropis pada ketinggian 250 meter (800 ft) hingga 1.000 m (3.300 ft). Spesies ini terancam oleh hilangnya habitat.[1]

Deskripsi

Ini adalah pohon hijau sepanjang tahun berukuran sedang yang tumbuh hingga setinggi 30 meter (100 ft). Daun-daunnya tersusun berpasangan secara dekusat, dengan panjang 5–7 cm (2–3 in) (hingga 20 cm (8 in) pada tanaman muda) dan lebar 8–12 mm (0,3–0,5 in). Runjungnya berbentuk oval, dengan panjang hingga 15 cm (6 in) dan diameter 12 cm (5 in), dan akan hancur saat matang untuk melepaskan biji bersayap.[3]

Taksonomi

Agathis corbassonii sebelumnya dianggap sebagai spesies yang berbeda, namun sejak tahun 2010 telah dianggap sebagai sinonim dari Agathis moorei.[1]
