Aletris lutea (Yellow colic-root) adalah spesies tumbuhan yang berasal dari wilayah tenggara Amerika Serikat mulai dari Louisiana hingga Georgia.[2][3][4][5]

Aletris lutea tumbuh di area basah, terutama di hutan pinus yang tergenang air secara musiman di dekat pantai. Tumbuhan ini merupakan herba tahunan yang tingginya mencapai 100 cm, dengan bulir bunga kecil berbentuk silinder yang panjang. Bunganya biasanya berwarna kuning, namun terkadang putih.[6]

Ekologi

Aletris lutea diserbuki oleh serangga dan tercatat pernah dikunjungi di Florida utara oleh spesies lebah Megachile campanulae.[7]
