Anabasis aphylla adalah spesies tumbuhan berbunga dalam keluarga Amaranthaceae, yang berasal dari wilayah di sekitar Laut Kaspia, Asia Tengah, serta provinsi Xinjiang dan Gansu bagian barat di Tiongkok.[1] Berupa semak bercabang banyak yang biasanya ditemukan tumbuh di kipas aluvial dan lembah bukit pasir, tumbuhan ini terkadang ditanam untuk menahan tiupan tanah dan menstabilkan bukit pasir.[2] Alkaloid anabasine dinamai menurut spesies beracun ini, yang pertama kali diisolasi darinya oleh Orechoff dan Menschikoff pada tahun 1931. Anabasine digunakan secara luas sebagai insektisida di bekas Uni Soviet hingga tahun 1970.[3]

Anabaseine dan anabasamine adalah alkaloid lain yang ditemukan di dalam tanaman ini.[4][5]
