Austromuellera valida adalah spesies pohon hutan hujan dalam suku protea yang endemik di timur laut Queensland, Australia. Tumbuhan ini pertama kali dideskripsikan secara resmi oleh Bernard Hyland pada tahun 1999 dalam seri Flora of Australia (Vol.17B, Proteaceae).
Deskripsi
Daun-daunnya sebagian besar sederhana, terkadang bercuping, dengan helaian daun sepanjang 7–10 cm (2,8–3,9 in) dan lebar 55–8 cm (21,7–3,1 in), dengan tangkai daun sepanjang 55–9 cm (21,7–3,5 in). Tunas muda tertutup rapat oleh rambut berwarna cokelat karat. Bunganya tumbuh pada tandan (rasem) sepanjang 17–30 cm (6,7–12 in). Buahnya memiliki panjang 10–15 cm (3,9–5,9 in).[1]
Persebaran dan habitat
Jangkauan spesies ini terbatas pada hutan hujan pegunungan di wilayah Mount Spurgeon, Mount Lewis, dan Pinnacle Rock di sebelah barat Mossman, dengan kisaran ketinggian 1.000–1.200 m (3.300–3.900 ft).[1]
