Axonopus singularis adalah spesies tumbuhan berbunga dalam keluarga rumput Poaceae, yang berasal dari Brasil (negara bagian Maranhão dan Goiás).[1] Ketika ditempatkan dalam genus monotipe Centrochloa sebagai Centrochloa singularis, ia merupakan satu-satunya spesies dalam genus tersebut.[2]
Taksonomi
Spesies ini pertama kali dideskripsikan oleh Jason Richard Swallen pada tahun 1935 sebagai Centrochloa singularis.[3] Tumbuhan ini merupakan satu-satunya spesies dalam genus monotipe Centrochloa.[2][4] Tumbuhan ini dipindahkan ke genus Axonopus pada tahun 2012, sebuah penempatan yang diterima oleh Plants of the World Online hingga November 2024[update].[1]
