Geographic range

Bajing tali berkaki api[4] (Funisciurus pyrropus) adalah spesies hewan pengerat dalam famili Sciuridae. Spesies ini ditemukan di Afrika Barat dan Tengah, dari Senegal hingga Uganda dan ke selatan hingga Angola. Habitat alaminya adalah hutan dataran rendah lembap subtropis atau tropis, sabana lembap, dan perkebunan.

Ukurannya cukup kecil, dengan bobot dewasa antara 225 dan 240 gram (7,9 dan 8,5 oz).

Makanan

Mereka pada dasarnya adalah herbivora. Makanan utama mereka terdiri dari buah dan biji-bijian. Ketika makanan langka, mereka terpaksa memakan rayap dan semut kecil.

Ancaman zoonotik
