Bauhinia monandra adalah spesies pohon polong-polongan dari keluarga Fabaceae.[2][4][5] Nama umum untuk tumbuhan ini antara lain pink bauhinia,[6] pohon anggrek,[6] dan Napoleon's plume.[6] Pohon ini berasal dari Madagaskar, tempat ia tersebar luas di hutan lembap dan hutan kering dataran rendah.[1] Tumbuhan ini telah ternaturalisasi di Myanmar, Australia, Pulau Natal, Karibia, Amerika Serikat bagian selatan, Kolombia, Brasil, dan Kepulauan Pasifik.[5][7] Spesies ini bersifat invasif di Kaledonia Baru.[8]
