Beauprea comptonii adalah spesies tumbuhan berbunga dalam keluarga Proteaceae. Tumbuhan ini berupa semak atau pohon yang berasal dari hutan di Kaledonia Baru.
B. comptonii dideskripsikan pada tahun 1921. IUCN mengklasifikasikan spesies ini sebagai spesies berisiko rendah (Least Concern).
Taksonomi
Spesies ini dideskripsikan pada tahun 1921 oleh Spencer Le Marchant Moore. Ia awalnya mendeskripsikan spesies ini sebagai Beauprea multijuga.[2]
Distribusi
Beauprea comptonii adalah tumbuhan asli bioma tropis basah di Kaledonia Baru bagian utara dan tengah.[2] Spesies ini endemik di wilayah tersebut. Spesies ini ditemukan di hutan dan semak belukar Grande Terre, pada ketinggian 200–1.500 kaki (61–457 m).[1]
Deskripsi
Beauprea comptonii adalah semak setinggi 3–4 meter (9,8–13,1 ft), atau pohon hingga setinggi 10 meter (33 ft).[1] Bunganya berwarna putih dan beraroma samar. Daunnya bersifat seperti kertas atau kulit.[3]
Konservasi
Pada tahun 2021, IUCN menilai Beauprea comptonii sebagai spesies berisiko rendah. Tumbuhan ini umum ditemukan dan memiliki luas area sebaran sekitar 2.795 kilometer persegi (1.079 sq mi). B. comptonii tidak dilindungi secara hukum, namun ditemukan di kawasan lindung Aoupinié, Côte Oubliée, dan Mont Panié.[1]
