Commiphora kataf adalah spesies tumbuhan berbunga dalam keluarga Burseraceae, yang berasal dari Afrika tropis bagian timur laut dan timur, serta bagian barat daya Semenanjung Arab.[1] Sebagai kerabat dari mur, masyarakat setempat menanam pohon perdu ini sebagai pagar bergetah yang dapat mengusir satwa liar.[2]
