Coptis japonica, atau benang emas Jepang (bahasa Inggris: Japanese goldthread), adalah spesies tumbuhan berbunga dalam keluarga Ranunculaceae, yang berasal dari Jepang bagian tengah dan selatan, serta diperkenalkan ke Korea.[1] Di Asia, tumbuhan ini dibudidayakan untuk tujuan pengobatan, dengan alkaloid utamanya adalah berberina.[2]
