Ctenium elegans adalah spesies rumput semusim dalam genus Ctenium yang berasal dari wilayah sabana Afrika. Spesies ini tersebar dari Senegal hingga Sudan dan tumbuh di tanah berpasir di zona Sahel Selatan dan Sudan Utara.[5]
Kegunaan
Batangnya digunakan sebagai bahan untuk atap jerami dan untuk membuat produk rumah tangga seperti keranjang, tikar, dan sapu.[6] Spesies ini kurang dikenal sebagai pakan ternak.[6]
