Cupressales adalah satu dari dua ordo konifer di dalam subkelas Cupressidae.[1] Ordo ini terdiri dari tiga atau empat famili:[2]
- Sciadopityaceae (satu genus tunggal dengan satu spesies Sciadopitys verticillata, endemik di Jepang)
- Cupressaceae (famili sipres, dengan 25–30 genus tergantung pada interpretasi)
- Taxaceae (famili yew, dengan 5–6 genus tergantung pada interpretasi)
- Cephalotaxaceae (satu genus tunggal, Cephalotaxus; terkadang dimasukkan ke dalam Taxaceae, dan terkadang dihitung sebagai famili terpisah)
Semua spesies dalam ordo ini adalah tumbuhan berkayu; mereka berkisar dari semak kecil hingga pohon terbesar yang ada.
