Ekosistem Leuser, Aceh

Ekosistem Leuser adalah kawasan hutan yang terletak di Provinsi Aceh dan Sumatera Utara di Pulau Sumatra di Indonesia. Area ekosistem ini mencakup lebih dari 2,6 juta hektare dan merupakan salah satu hamparan hutan hujan tropika terkaya di Asia Tenggara, serta merupakan lokasi terakhir di dunia yang ditempati gajah sumatra, badak sumatra, harimau sumatra, dan orang utan sumatra dalam satu area.[1] Ekosistem Leuser memiliki salah satu sistem hutan terkaya, tetapi paling sedikit diketahui di dunia,[2] dan vegetasinya merupakan sumber penting oksigen Bumi.[3]
