Sejarah
Huruf Kiril En berasal dari alfabet Yunani untuk Nu (Ν ν).
Nama En dalam alfabet Kiril Awal adalah нашь (našĭ), yang berarti "milik kita".
Bentuk
Huruf kapital Kiril En terlihat persis sama dengan huruf kapital Latin H tetapi, seperti kebanyakan huruf Kiril lainnya, bentuk huruf kecil hanyalah versi kecil dari huruf kapital. Bukanya alfabet Yunani yaitu Eta, di mana huruf latin H berasal, huruf Kiril En diturunkan dari huruf Yunani Nu. Namun, alfabet Kiril Rumania menggunakan N dan ɴ, bukan Н dan н.
