Froesiochloa adalah genus tumbuhan Amerika Selatan dalam suku rumput-rumputan.[1][2][3][4] Satu-satunya spesies yang diketahui adalah Froesiochloa boutelouoides, yang berasal dari Guyana, Guyana Prancis, dan Brasil (Amapá, Pará).[5][6][7]


Genus Froesiochloa berada dalam famili Poaceae dalam kelompok besar Angiospermae (Tumbuhan berbunga).[8]
