Harpacticoida adalah sebuah ordo kopepoda, pada subfilum Krustasea. Ordo ini mencakup 463 genera dan sekitar 3000 spesies; anggotanya merupakan kopepoda bentik yang dapat ditemukan di seluruh dunia pada perairan air asin (kebanyakan famili) dan di air tawar (terkhususnya Ameiridae, Parastenocarididae dan Canthocamptidae). Beberapa dari mereka merupakan organisme planktonik atau hidup berhubungan dengan organisme lain. Orod ini mewakili kelompok meiofauna terbesar kedua di sedimen laut, setelah nematoda. Di perairan Arktik dan sub-Arktik, Harpacticoida menjadi penghuni umum es laut. Nama Harpacticoida berasal dari kata Bahasa Yunani harpacticon (pemangsa rakus) dan akhiran -oid (mirip seperti), sehingga berarti "mirip predator rakus".[1]
