Harperia adalah kelompok tumbuhan dalam suku Restionaceae yang dideskripsikan sebagai genus pada tahun 1904.[1][2] Seluruh genus ini endemik di negara bagian Australia Barat.[3]

Pada tahun 1905, Rose menerapkan nama Harperia untuk sebuah tanaman dalam suku Apiaceae, sehingga menciptakan homonim yang tidak sah. Ia juga menciptakan satu nama spesies dalam genusnya, yaitu[4][5]
- Harperia nodosa Rose, sinonim dari Harperella nodosa (Rose) Rose atau Ptilimnium nodosum (Rose) Mathias atau Carum nodosum (Rose) Koso-Pol.[6]
