Helicia attenuata adalah tumbuhan dalam famili Proteaceae. Epitet spesifik attenuata berarti 'tertarik keluar' atau 'meruncing', merujuk pada pangkal daunnya.[3]

Deskripsi

Helicia attenuata tumbuh sebagai perdu atau pohon hingga setinggi 15 meter (50 ft), dengan diameter batang mencapai 30 cm (12 in). Kulit kayunya berwarna cokelat tua. Buahnya berwarna cokelat, berbentuk elipsoid, dengan panjang hingga 5 cm (2 in).[3] Helicia attenuata termasuk salah satu tumbuhan makanan yang digemari oleh tapir malaya.[4]

Persebaran dan habitat

Helicia attenuata merupakan tumbuhan asli yang tersebar dari Thailand semenanjung dan Malaysia hingga ke arah timur sampai Flores di Indonesia. Habitatnya berada di hutan pada ketinggian 400–1.700 m (1.000–6.000 ft).[1]
