Helicia petiolaris adalah tumbuhan dalam keluarga Proteaceae. Epitet spesifik petiolaris berarti 'bertangkai', yang merujuk pada daunnya.[3]

Deskripsi

Helicia petiolaris tumbuh sebagai pohon kecil dengan tinggi hingga 15 meter (50 ft), dengan diameter batang hingga 20 cm (8 in). Kulit kayunya berwarna abu-abu kecokelatan. Buahnya berwarna hitam hingga cokelat tua, dengan panjang hingga 4 cm (2 in).[3]

Penyebaran dan habitat

Helicia petiolaris adalah tumbuhan asli Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Semenanjung Malaysia, Singapura, dan Borneo. Habitatnya adalah hutan dipterokarpa campuran dan hutan kerangas hingga ketinggian 2.100 m (7.000 ft).[1]
