Helicia pterygota adalah tumbuhan dalam keluarga Proteaceae. Epitet spesifik pterygota berarti 'bersayap', yang merujuk pada pediselnya.[2]

Deskripsi

Helicia pterygota tumbuh sebagai semak atau pohon kecil dengan tinggi mencapai 7 meter (20 ft), dengan diameter batang hingga 6 cm (2 in). Kulit kayunya berwarna kecokelatan.[2]

Distribusi dan habitat

Helicia pterygota adalah endemik Kalimantan yang terbatas hanya ditemukan di Gunung Kinabalu di Sabah. Habitatnya adalah hutan pegunungan dengan ketinggian 1.000–1.800 m (3.300–5.900 ft).[2]
