Illicium stapfii adalah pohon dalam keluarga Schisandraceae. Pohon ini dinamai menurut ahli botani Austria Otto Stapf.[3]

Deskripsi

Illicium stapfii tumbuh setinggi 25 m (80 ft), dengan diameter batang hingga 80 cm (30 in). Daunnya berbentuk elips dan berukuran panjang hingga 115 cm (45,3 in), terkadang mencapai 165 cm (65,0 in). Bunga tunggalnya berwarna ungu hingga merah muda.[3]

Distribusi dan habitat

Illicium stapfii adalah tumbuhan endemik di Kalimantan. Habitatnya berada di hutan, pada ketinggian 800–2.000 m (3.000–7.000 ft).[1][3]
