Ismail Marpaung (lahir 19 Mei 1957) adalah Wakil Wali Kota Tanjungbalai periode 2016-2021.[1] Pada Pilkada Kota Tanjungbalai tahun 2020, Ismail kembali maju sebagai calon Wali Kota Tanjungbalai berpasangan dengan Afrizal Zulkarnaen, tetapi pasangan Ismail-Afrizal (Mari) ini dikalahkan oleh pasangan Syahrial-Waris (Salwa).[2]
