"Jesus To A Child" adalah sebuah Singel Lagu dari George Michael yang dirilis 13 Oktober 1995 untuk sebuah albumnya yaitu Older.

Riwayat

Meskipun tidak secara resmi dirilis sampai tahun 1995, Michael melantunkan lagu pada tahun 1994 selama acara MTV Europe Music Awards, di mana ia menyanyikannya itu langsung di depan Berlin 's Gerbang Brandenburg.

Lagu Jesus To A Child ini George dedikasikan kepada seorang kekasih lelakinya dari Brasil yaitu Anselmo Feleppa yang meninggal dunia pada 1993 karena AIDS.Michael tidak mampu menulis selama 18 bulan ke depan sebagai konsekuensi dari kesedihan, tapi kemudian menulis kata-kata untuk "Jesus To A Child" dalam sedikit dari satu jam, menunjukkan bahwa waktu yang tepat untuk melanjutkan dengan hidupnya. Lagu ini ditulis dengan ritme dan harmoni yang dipengaruhi oleh Brasil bossa nova gaya.

Identitas tepat dari subjek dan-sifat lagu itu adalah penyebab sejumlah sindiran pada saat itu, seperti Michael belum mengkonfirmasikan bahwa ia homoseksualitas dan tidak memberitau sampai tahun 1998. Saat itu, Michael konsisten mendedikasikan lagu untuk Feleppa sebelum menyanyikannya secara live.
