Kaisar Wanita Jitō (持統天皇, Jitō-tennō, 645 – 13 Januari 703)[1] adalah penguasa Jepang ke-41,[2] menurut urutan suksesi tradisional.[3]
Masa pemerintahan Jitō berlangsung dari 686 sampai 697.[4]
Dalam sejarah Jepang, Jitō adalah wanita ketiga dari delapan wanita yang memegang jabatan kaisar wanita. Dua penguasa perempuan sebelum Jitō adalah Suiko dan Kōgyoku/Saimei. Lima penguasa wanita yang memerintah setelah Jitō adalah Genmei, Genshō, Kōken/Shōtoku, Meishō, dan Go-Sakuramachi.
