Joseph Mellick Leidy (9 September 1823 – 30 April 1891) adalah seorang pakar paleontologi, parasitologi, dan anatomi asal Amerika Serikat. Leidy adalah profesor anatomi di Universitas Pennsylvania, dan kemudian menjadi profesor sejarah alam di Swarthmore College.
