Kacip air
Dalam arsitektur, kacip air (atau sterling ) adalah selekoh pertahanan, biasanya dibangun dengan tiang pancang atau batu bata, mengelilingi penyangga (atau tiang ) jembatan atau konstruksi serupa. Kacip air dapat dibentuk untuk memperlancar aliran air di sekitar jembatan, sehingga mengurangi kerusakan akibat erosi atau benturan dengan puing-puing yang terbawa banjir. Mereka juga dapat menjadi bagian penting dari struktur jembatan, menyebarkan beban tiang.
