Laccosperma secundiflorum, atau gao, adalah spesies rotan dari keluarga palem yang ditemukan di hutan tropis Dzangha-Sangha, Kamerun, dan wilayah lain di Afrika Barat. Tanaman ini memiliki batang berduri yang digunakan untuk melilit pepohonan di sekitarnya, sehingga memungkinkannya tumbuh hingga ketinggian lebih dari 30 meter.[1][2][3] Penduduk setempat memanen pohon ini dan memanfaatkannya untuk membuat minyak kelapa sawit dan tuak, serta tongkat (sejenis rotan) untuk perabot, tikar, dan keranjang.[4]
