Murmur vaskular

Murmur vaskular atau bruit adalah bunyi yang terdengar dari pembuluh darah akibat adanya turbulensi aliran darah. Bunyi ini paling sering disebabkan oleh penyempitan di dalam arteri.[1][2]

Bunyi murmur vaskular dapat didengarkan dengan meletakkan stetoskop di atas kulit tempat pembuluh darah yang ingin diperiksa. Jika bruit terdengar di daerah arteri karotis, hal tersebut menunjukkan peningkatan risiko terjadinya stroke. Jika terdengar di daerah perut, hal tersebut mengindikasikan adanya obstruksi di daerah aorta atau arteri renalis, arteri iliaka, atau arteri femoralis.[3]
