Stachytarpheta mutabilis adalah spesies tumbuhan berbunga dalam keluarga verbena yang dikenal dengan nama umum jarong lelaki, ngokilo ataupun ngadirenggo. Ia berasal dari Meksiko, Karibia, dan Amerika Selatan.[1] Ia dapat ditemukan di banyak tempat lain sebagai spesies introduksi. Ini dibudidayakan sebagai tanaman hias .[2]
Keterangan
Spesies ini merupakan ramuan abadi atau subsemak yang umumnya tumbuh setinggi 10 hingga 20 sentimeter, terkadang mencapai setengah meter. Batangnya yang berbulu memiliki susunan daun yang berseberangan. Helaian daunnya bertekstur kasar dan berbentuk lonjong atau tombak. Panjangnya mencapai 12 sentimeter. Perbungaannya berupa paku sempit yang panjangnya mencapai 60 sentimeter. Bunganya hadir dalam berbagai warna merah dan merah muda.[2]
