Oldfieldia adalah genus tumbuhan dari famili Picrodendraceae, dan merupakan satu-satunya anggota dari subtribusnya (Paiveusinae). Genus ini pertama kali dideskripsikan pada tahun 1850.[2][3]
Oldfieldia berasal dari Afrika.[1]

Nama Oldfieldia diambil dari nama Richard Albert Kearns Oldfield (R.A.K Oldfield), seorang kolektor tumbuhan asal Inggris di Nigeria dan Sierra Leone, serta seorang ahli bedah pada ekspedisi Sungai Niger tahun 1832-1834 bersama Laird dan Lauder [4]
