Olmeca fulgor adalah spesies tumbuhan berbunga dalam keluarga Poaceae. Spesies ini merupakan bambu yang berasal dari negara bagian Veracruz dan Oaxaca di Meksiko selatan.[1][2][3] Spesies ini utamanya ditemukan di Amerika Utara.[4]

Spesies ini pertama kali dideskripsikan sebagai Aulonemia fulgor oleh Thomas Robert Soderstrom pada tahun 1988.[5] Pada tahun 2011, Eduardo Ruiz-Sanchez, Victoria Sosa, dan M. Teresa Mejía-Saulés menempatkan spesies ini ke dalam genus Olmeca sebagai O. fulgor.[1]
