"Pepper Keibu" (ペッパー警部, Peppā Keibu, lnspektur Pepper) merupakan single ke-37 Morning Musume. Pepper Keibu merupakan lagu cover milik grup duo Pink Lady yang dirilis pada tahun 1976. Single ini dirilis 24 September 2008[1] oleh label Zetima untuk mempromosikan album Cover You, sebuah album tribute untuk produser Yū Aku. Single V DVD dirilis pada tanggal 22 Oktober 2008.

Sejarah rilis

Ini adalah singel cover pertama mereka setelah singel "Morning Musume no Hyokkori Hyōtanjima" lebih dari lima setengah tahun sebelumnya. Dua lagu di single ini merupakan karya Yū Aku yang ditulis pada tahun 1970. Pepper Keibu merupakan cover dari single pertama duo Pink Lady, yang telah terjual lebih dari satu juta kopi pada tahun 1976. Lagu "B-side," "Romance", adalah cover dari single kedua penyanyi Hiromi Iwasaki, yang memuncaki tangga lagu Oricon pada tahun 1975.

Single ini dirilis dalam dua edisi terbatas "A" dan "B", dengan sampul yang berbeda: edisi terbatas "A" berisi DVD ekstra "making of", edisi terbatas "B" berisi bonus mini "photobook". Singel ini mencapai posisi # 3 di chart mingguan Oricon, bertahan di chart selama enam minggu.[2] dan terjual 46.067 kopi. Singel V mencapai #3 Oricon, bertahan selama empat minggu, dan terjual 9.231 kopi.
